At InovSight, we build solutions that protect people and territory. We apply the same care to the personal data you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect through www.inovsight.pt, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have.
1. Who we are
The controller responsible for your personal data is Inovsight – Sistemas de Vigilância de Grandes Áreas, S.A. (“InovSight”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Portugal under tax number (NIPC) 519 242 335, with registered office at Rua Alves Redol, n.º 9, 1000-029 Lisbon, Portugal.
For any question about this policy or about your personal data, contact us at geral@inovsight.pt or by post to the address above. We process all personal data in accordance with the GDPR.
2. What data we collect
We only collect the data we need. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Contact and demo requests — name, email address, organisation, job title, phone number (if provided) and the content of your message, when you use our contact form, book a demo or write to us by email.
- Business relationship data — contact details of representatives of clients, partners and suppliers, and records of our communications with them.
- Technical and usage data — IP address, browser type, device, language preference, pages visited and similar information collected through cookies and server logs. See our Cookie Policy for details.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us through this website, special categories of data such as health data or political opinions.
3. Why we use your data and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Answering your questions and contact requests | Our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us (Art. 6(1)(f)), or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Scheduling and delivering product demonstrations | Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Managing our relationship with clients, partners and suppliers | Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in managing our business (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Keeping the website secure and working properly | Our legitimate interest in the security and availability of the website (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Measuring website use in order to improve it | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time |
| Complying with legal obligations, such as accounting, tax and requests from authorities | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) |
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects on you.
4. Who we share it with
Your data is handled by our team and shared only where necessary, with:
- Service providers acting on our behalf — such as our website hosting provider [[nome da empresa de alojamento]], email and IT service providers and, where you have consented, analytics providers. They may only use the data to provide their services to us, under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).
- Professional advisers — such as lawyers and accountants, bound by confidentiality.
- Public authorities — when required by law or to protect our legal rights.
5. International transfers
We store and process data primarily within the European Economic Area (EEA). If a service provider processes data outside the EEA, we make sure the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the Commission.
6. How long we keep your data
- Contact requests — up to 24 months after our last interaction, unless a business relationship follows.
- Demo requests and commercial contacts — up to 3 years after our last interaction.
- Client and supplier data — for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for the period required by law, for example 10 years for accounting records under Portuguese law.
- Cookies — for the periods indicated in our Cookie Policy.
When these periods end, the data is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct inaccurate or incomplete data, to ask us to delete it, to restrict or object to certain uses of it (including processing based on our legitimate interests), to receive it in a structured, machine-readable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, email geral@inovsight.pt. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on your request.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados — cnpd.pt — or with the authority in the EU country where you live or work.
8. How we protect your data
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and regular software updates. Only people who need the data to do their job can access it.
9. Links to other websites
Our website links to third-party websites and social networks, such as LinkedIn and Instagram. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their own policies.
10. Children
Our website and our solutions are intended for professionals and organisations. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
